 Katherine breathes for the tactile experience of creating art.  The designer in her contemplates the impact on the viewer and also the environment it sits in.  For Katherine  outdoor adventuring ignites feelings of freedom and warmth that she wants to weave into her Landscapes. She is immersed in discovering and harnessing the elements that trigger these emotions.

"Many elements come into play when thinking about what influences my art - my childhood immersed in the nature of the Daintree Rainforest, a background in product design & architecture, and a longing to be creative.  I feel an understanding of design has made me contemplate different environments, built or natural, the atmosphere that can be created with products and the space we create to live in. These thoughts guide my art, motivating me to create images of peace and calm, in harmony with the environment it sits, for the people that use that space."
