Living in country Victoria, I have always been fascinated by animals and their somewhat peculiar characteristics. They provide me with thought-provoking ideas that allow me to capture their quirkiness.

Keeping my mind open to spontaneous and sometimes unconventional ideas during the painting process allows the painting to naturally evolve and have a life of it’s own.

The challenge of capturing the animal’s peculiar characteristics is to look beyond all distraction of the conspicuous and discover the beauty of what lies beneath.
